About the company

„Brikel” EAD is a thermal power plant in southern Bulgaria. Complex and it is situated about 5 km far of the town of Galabovo and 45 km far of Stara Zagora city. On the southwest, the power plant shares a border with “Rozov kladenetz”.
The power plant is a successor of TPP “Maritsa – East 1” and “Briquette production plant”.
Main tasks of the company are protection of air, water, soil and prevention of incidents and accidents.

Electricity production

Briquette production

The briquette production branch of "Brikel" EAD is the unique “Briquette Plant” in the Republic of Bulgaria. It is situated at about 5 km from Galabovo town and 45 km from Stara Zagora city.

Central heating

The heating system at "Brickel" EAD was built in 1989. and entered into operation in 1990 with 24 Subscriber stations and an installed capacity of 30 MWh. As of December 2015,

Ecology and emissions

"Brikel" EAD produces electricity, heat and briquettes. The technology of the production process uses cleaning system to keep the environment pure.
